Senator Bayh is a Senior Advisor with Apollo Global Management, a leading global alternative asset management firm, and Senior Advisor and Of Counsel for Cozen O’Connor Public Strategies, a law firm. He was elected as Indiana’s Secretary of State in 1986 and as its Governor in 1988. After two terms as Governor, Mr. Bayh was elected to the U.S. Senate where he served for 12 years. He served on a number of committees, including Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; Armed Services; Energy and Natural Resources; Select Committee on Intelligence; Small Business and Entrepreneurship; Special Committee on Aging, and chaired the International Trade and Finance Subcommittee. During his time in office, he focused on job creation, national security, small business growth and many other critical domestic issues. Senator Bayh was formerly a partner with McGuireWoods LLP, a global diversified law firm. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business economics from Indiana University and a law degree from the University of Virginia.
