Dr. Laura D'Andrea Tyson, Ph.D. is an Independent Director of CBRE Group Inc. Dr. Tyson has been a Distinguished Professor of the Graduate School, Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley since July 2016. She was a Professor at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley from January 2007 to July 2016 and has also been the Director of the Institute for Business and Social Impact at the Haas School since July 2013. Dr. Tyson was previously Dean of the London Business School from January 2002 to December 2006 and Dean of the Haas School of Business from July 1998 to December 2001, and was Professor of Business Administration and Economics there from January 1997 to June 1998. She was a member of President Clinton’s cabinet from 1993 through 1996. During that time, she served as the Chair of the National Economic Council and as the National Economic Adviser to the President of the United States from February 1995 to December 1996, and she was the first woman to Chair the White House Council of Economic Advisers, in which capacity she served from January 1993 to February 1995.
